Lower cholesterol without statins ???
SO. I have had constantly rising cholesterol, no matter how much I exercised and maintained a very low fat diet. My PCP has implored me to go on statins for the last few years. I have stubbornly continued to try alternatives. Recently, I had another lipids test which showed my cholesterol level dropped from 333 mg/dl to 288 mg/dl . For about a month I had been self-prescribing a daily dose of 1 teaspoon limonene, 0.5 teaspoon Y-teripene, and 2 tablespoons of canola oil. As I tried to determine what I did correctly this time, all searches said "It is highly unlikely that such a large drop could be brought about in one month," and "It would more likely require at least 3 months to make such a change." I then thought "The only other supplement that I was using was around 1.5 to 3 ml of 1% methylene blue daily for 4 months. As it would take up way too much space here to show results, I have provided 2 questions below so you can do your own search.

#1 Can methylene blue heal extrahepatic cholestasis ?
#2 Can healing extrahepatic cholestasis lower LDL cholesterol?
